Caribbean Poker Rules and Tricks

Online poker has become globally famous lately, with televised championships and celebrity poker game events. The games universal appeal, though, stretches back in fact a bit further than its television ratings. Over the years several variations on the earliest poker game have been created, including a few games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely affiliated with blackjack than old guard poker, in that the players bet against the house rather than each other. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little concealment or different types of bamboozlement. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up before the dealer saying "No further wagers." At that instance, both you and the bank and of course every one of the other players acquire five cards. Once you have seen your hand and the dealer’s initial card, you need to in turn make a call wager or give up. The call wager’s amount is equal to your original bet, meaning that the stakes will have increased two fold. Bowing out means that your ante goes instantly to the dealer. After the wager is the conclusion. If the dealer doesn’t have ace/king or better, your bet is returned, with a sum equal to the ante. If the dealer has a hand with ace/king or greater, you win if your hand beats the dealer’s hand. The dealer pays out chips equal to your bet and set expectations on your call bet. These odds are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for two pairs
  • 3-1 for three of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • 20-1 for a four of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
