Caribbean Poker Protocols and Pointers

[ English ]

Web poker has become globally celebrated as of late, with televised championships and celebrity poker game shows. The games popularity, though, arcs back in reality a bit farther than its TV ratings. Over the years several variations on the first poker game have been developed, including some games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely related to vingt-et-un than old guard poker, in that the gamblers bet against the house rather than the other players. The winning hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is no concealment or different types of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up prior to the croupier broadcasting "No more bets." At that moment, both you and the bank and of course all of the other gamblers receive five cards. After you have seen your hand and the dealer’s initial card, you need to in turn make a call wager or give up. The call wager’s value is akin to your beginning wager, indicating that the risks will have doubled. Bowing out means that your wager goes instantaneously to the casino. After the bet comes the conclusion. If the dealer doesn’t have ace/king or better, your bet is returned, including a figure on par with the ante. If the casino has a hand with ace/king or better, you win if your hand defeats the dealer’s hand. The house pays out cash even with your bet and fixed odds on your call wager. These odds are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • two to one for 2 pairs
  • three to one for three of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • 20-1 for a four of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
