Double-hand Poker is a modern game with old ancestry. Based on the old Chinese domino game and the modern American version of poker, Pai Gow poker bands together the east with the wild west in a great game for starting gamblers.
Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the player vs. the dealer, not like nearly all other poker games that gamblers wager against other players. By gambling against the dealer, new players don’t need to be concerned about other, more advanced players taking their mulla.
Another Pai Gow benefit is the relatively leisurely game pace, newcomers can take their time and strategize without needing to make quick choices.
It’s also much simpler to bet on for an extended time with basically a little bit of money after all, to not win, both of your hands needs to be lower than each of the houses hands.
Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the regular 52-card basic deck and a single joker. The player is dealt 7 cards face up and the croupier gets seven cards face down.
One five card hand and a 2 card hand have to be made from the 7 cards, the 5 card hand must be higher than the two card hand. To win, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be better than the dealer’s.
